Late 80's early 90's. Don't know the song name or group. Male singer. A couple of lines from the song, I believe, are:
This is the business of dancing in
Always on the outside looking in
(sorry the quality of the reproduction is not great)

Thanks

Not sure, some more lyrics...
Could this be the place boys
That they're talking about
You don't have to like it
If you like you can leave

Honestly, the song is Business, by the group Breeding Ground. Opening lyrics:

"...See, I bought myself,
A very smart machine.
Looking for something,
Something for the head.
I know that you got some,
Hidden up your sleeve.
Can this be the place, boys,
That they're talking about?
You don't have to like it,
If you like you can leave."

"This is the business,
oh, we're dancing in, here,
The new kid on the block, man,
He can't win.
This is the business,
oh, we're dancing in, here,
Always on the outside,
Looking in."

The link I gave you is its only appearance in CD format. Sadly, the group wasn't very big outside of Toronto. If you're still not sure, listen to it here:
