From TAFKAP, 3/1/2003 6:50:08 AM:
hi, maybe: Joshua Redman - The Second Time Around
From Cory Richert, 3/1/2003 12:01:05 PM:
Nope, definitely NOT Joshua Redman...I just d/l his song from Kazaa and it's 100% Jazz music, no vocals. Unless the song was incorrectly labelled in Kazaa.
From Marek, 3/2/2003 10:25:31 AM:
This is Cham CM-The Second Time Around
From Paul Miceli, 3/2/2003 4:00:49 PM:
Hi Marek,
Thanks for solving this song. There is a cd single for this song.If someone has a copy, can you tell me what is on the cd single. It was released by zyx in 1993.
Thanks again,
Paul
From Paul Miceli, 3/2/2003 11:41:09 PM:
Hi Marek,
I found this cd single.I just want to make sure if this is the correct artist. Are you 100% that this is Cham Cm.
Thanks,
Paul
From Marek, 3/4/2003 3:34:11 AM:
Hi Paul
I'm not sure 100%,but i had this song years ago on the tape but i couldn't remind the artist name anymore .When i searching title from "H & E Records" list, then i found the artist "Cham CM",that seems very familiar,i think it is "Cham CM"
and Paul, thank you for solving my song, that was really "Seduction",they have song named "One Mistake"
From Cory, 3/4/2003 7:40:12 AM:
Hi Marek,
I can't seem to find too much about this group...even the ZYX site doesn't list them any longer, but from what I did find they seem to be listed on a lot of "Disco" sites, and that song is even on a "CyberDisco" compliation. I tried to purchase the CD single (it was only $4), but somebody bought it yesterday...Paul? :)
Hopefully somebody can confirm this song 100%.
Thanks,
Cory
From Paul Miceli, 3/4/2003 2:42:23 PM:
Hi guys,
You're Welcome Marek.
Cory, I should receive the cd single by Monday,I dont know if it the correct song, I will let you know.
I'm hoping it might be one of those ZYX reissues, which has some updated remixes and the original version.
Cheers,
Paul
From Cory, 3/4/2003 2:59:49 PM:
Hi Paul,
True...I forgot they did that. When I saw it was listed as "Disco", then I saw the "ZYX" label I thought, "This can't be the same group!", but we'll find out shortly.
Thanks,
Cory
From Paul Miceli, 3/11/2003 1:58:05 PM:
Hi Guys,
I just received the Cham cm cd single, and this song is not by this group. Cham cm is more like Dance/House.
Paul
From Cory, 3/14/2003 4:09:39 PM:
Sorry to hear that Paul! So now the search continues!!
Cory
From Marek, 3/15/2003 1:29:45 AM:

From Paul Miceli, 3/15/2003 2:38:30 AM:

This is another tough one.I will let you guys know if I find anything on it.

From jenni, 11/8/2005 10:54:16 AM:
try the posies...i don't remember the full title, but the word "light" is at the end of it(I THINK!) & of course,it may not be the "stay(2nd time around)" you're seeking, but check it out.peace.
From Dave Myrvold, 11/12/2007 12:49:41 PM:
"Heartbeat" - White & Torch
From Dan Coogan, 11/13/2007 11:29:44 AM:
It's not "Heartbeat" - White & Torch -- Roy White of White & Torch has confirmend the song we are callling "Stay (The Second Time Around)" is not the same as "Heartbeat" by White & Torch... the search continues to identify "Stay (The Second Time Around)"
From Dave Myrvold, 11/13/2007 4:00:12 PM:
Just saw the update at the NWO. It's unfortunate that people could miscommunicate and misinform confirmation of this song. Thanks for following up more thoroughly with the artist Dan.
From Keith, 11/13/2007 11:03:30 PM:
A big part of the blame goes to me. The artist must have misunderstood my question to him and most likely didn't listen to the youtube link I sent him. Within minutes I was confirming away. But, agreed, kudos to Dan for following up!
From Cory, 2/28/2008 10:12:06 AM:
Wow, I came back to this thread 4 years after my last post and it's still not solved...wish I could help.
From odhie, 5/6/2009 8:51:19 AM:
it's been 6 years now, and still cant solve this one tough one
From Eli, 5/7/2009 4:02:14 PM:
Well, as for me, this song, though it's really nice, sounds rather like a demo tape or a rehearsal recording. May be it has never been published.
From justme, 6/1/2009 3:56:47 AM:
Something is a little peculiar here...everyone is just looking for some song entitled "Stay" or similar. But do you remember "The Weight" from The Band? Not any freaking part of the text contains the word "weight"! I guess that's where the problem is: this song might have a title which is NOT repeated in the lyrics at all.
From jon, 11/12/2009 11:01:00 PM:
It looks like this song will never be solved.
Almost Seven years now.
From Emil, 9/14/2013 1:37:26 PM:
10 years on and still no one knows who's song this is.
From Kevin, 9/14/2013 2:48:36 PM:
There's a thread on reddit about this song: http://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/1mdi02/til_an_80s_pop_song_has_been_online_since_2002/
From MkFBH, 9/14/2013 3:16:48 PM:
Song clip everyone has been trying to identify is slowed from what it (probably) should be. Here it is sped up 9% (not mine). This may be too fast, original should (probably) be sped up 6% to get A flat to A.

From Darrell Wood, 9/14/2013 6:57:46 PM:
A YouTube user named salescounter commented on the song:
"I definitely know who performed the song... This was sung by the lead singer of a long gone German synthpop band called "Private Blue," but I do not know the name of the actual song."
If you search for a Private Blue song, the singer's voice does sound familiar, and I'm pretty sure his name is Frank Meyer-Thurn, who passed away in 2009.
From Michal S, 9/17/2013 7:22:47 AM:
This was identified today thanks to a Swedish radio station who launched a call, and one of their listeners recognized it:
The track is 'On The Roof' by Johan Lindell off his 1985 album Ghost Rider. It is even available for free download from the man's own website: http://www.johanlindell.se/musik/ghost-rider
Or listen on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvKBJILcjwY
From Paul Miceli, 9/17/2013 11:23:28 AM:
Thank You Michael. And thanks to everyone at reddit and PP3 Radio in Sweden !!
From Dan Coogan, 9/23/2013 2:14:53 AM:
Thanks to everyone that helped in the search, glad the youtube clip helped in the long run. Many people worked on this over the years, and i'm grateful the mystery has been solved, we didn't know if it ever would be. Pretty amazing.
From rybalan, 6/9/2020 10:27:50 AM:
It's sad that I didn't found it before, but if I found it before identifing I will be even more sad because I won't have full vesrion, but nvm, great song!
