Re: Better question

Isn't it a little weird for a guy in his mid-40s hosting club gigs for people literally half his age in their late teens early twenties? What about Berns? He's older than Martin, and up until he retired "Dr. Trance" last year, was still one of the hottest club DJ's in the city. Age means nothing ex...

Re: Spam in the forums and members list

There are a few spam posts today - one purportedly looking for opinions on music downloading and one blatant post for sex sites. Perusing the members list, you'll notice many entries are bogus, just so they can make a link to various commercial interest sites. Maybe time to do some moderator houscl...

Great spot

To me, the one commercial that personified CFNY more than any other was Marsden's \"The House of Lords.\" I was thrilled to hear it playing on 94.9 The Rock on Marsden's show the other night. You can hear one of them here: http://www.spiritofradio.ca/MediaH/Spots/Marsden%20-%201979%20House%20of%20Lo...

Too Shy by Kajagoogoo, Lies by The Thompson Twins, especially the 12 inch version that went on until lunchtime tomorrow in fact there were a lot of those, especially circa 1984 where even perfectly acceptable records like A New England by Kirsty Macoll ended up being an excuse to go and make a chee...

I find it interesting that a lot of the songs that I \"burned out\" on and ended up never wanting to hear again, I actually don't mind anymore coming back listening to them a few years later.

However, there are a few that I CAN NOT stand.

I like the date range selection too. I've already listened to everything back to 2004, so I'm going to go through 2003 and 2002 and mark them all as I go. After that if no one else has done it I'll do 2004 and 2005. I didn't think the previous date selection system made it clear that there was more...

\"Identified flag\" in song ID's

By request, the Song ID page now has an \"Identified\" flag that shows which songs have been identified, and which are still outstanding. Now we need people to go through and read them all, and click the \"Identified\" button the bottom of the ones that were identified. There's over a thousand of th...

\"Identified check\"

Excellent idea. I wrote the code this morning to do just that. It's now online.

Now we need people to go through and read them all, and click the \"Identified\" button the bottom of the ones that were identified. There's over a thousand of them, so I kinda don't want to do it by hand myself.... :)

The old BBS was hugely maintenance-intensive, whereas this one has far more functionality and works virtually hands-off (for me, at least).

If anyone has some ideas for new features content for the site, please speak up!
