Looking For Songs...

Post by madcapper » Sat Dec 17, 2005 5:51 pm

Well I have always loved the songs that were played during the 80's at CFNY! Over the past years I have tried to find and collect as much of those obsure songs in mp3 format as possible. I know there are alot of other CFNY listeners who have a common interest in that music as i have. My email address is madcapper@rogers.com and i want to hear from you on any requests that you may have. Please post in this topic any songs you may need for your collection and im sure out of all the CFNY diehard's you will be served. Lets keep the music alive and remember those \"younger\" days when
there was alternative music then the Top 40.

madcapper;

I too have been collecting '80's music for some time, well, since the80's! Mostly on vinyl, but since the advent of mp3 have also found alot of findings online myself. My question for you and whoever else
is I have now aquired XX amount of burnt \"VARIOUS\" cd's. My problem is finding the song I want to hear from these mixed cd's. I am desparatly looking for a program which can help me index alphabetically what I have on my cd's for easy referal! Any help, anyone??

Stuff I'd like to find?

Definatly FLAT TIRE, have a Government LP I found, but without that song.

The DMC (?) megamix of Talking Heads - Once in A Lifetime

Thanx

Merry Christmas

(found alot of findings??)

Looking for Secession

Post by Michael Cool » Sun May 14, 2006 4:57 pm

I'm looking for a song by Secession called Sneakyville or at least I think that's what the song is called. I have been looking for this song for a long time. I'm also looking for an MP3 of Nowwhere Girl by B-Movie.

I have some...

Post by LeftCoastMorgan » Sat Jul 29, 2006 10:20 pm

I have a bunch of old CFNY-related music MP3s. I'm slowly burning all my vinyl onto digital as I sell it off.

I have the entire Government 4-track EP with \"Flat Tire\" on it, if anyone wants. It's fairly good quality.

I'm looking for that Cee Farrow track \"Wildlife Romance\" if anyone has it, and also \"Where Do You Call Home\" by Ohama.

Drop me a line if you're interested: morganspartymix@hotmail.com

I was a late 80s/early 90s DJ at Gord's Place, Jerry's Alley and a few other Ontario venues, as well as Atomic Cafe, Pink Flamingo, and Ikon in Buffalo. I have lots of rare grooves, so if you're looking for something in particular, just let me know.

And, as I mentioned.... \"vinyl sale!\" :D

Loking for this very obscure song....

Post by planetclaire7 » Sun Aug 20, 2006 6:18 pm

Well i'm looking for a very obscure song that CFNY has played quite a few times in the 80's but i could never find it anywhere, and just the other day i had heard the tune called \"It's All A Game\" by National Pastime.

Has anyone heard it lately? I've had the fortune of hearing it just once on an internet radio station called Flashback Alternatives and they play many obscure tunes from those years and if anyone has it, can you please take a minute and send it to planetclaire7@yahoo.ca and a heartfelt thanks will be in store :D :D :D :D
