Re: Scot Turner's Spirit of Radio Sundays on The Edge

From what I have learned since the demise of the show Scot regrets not having a bigger library of music to draw from. Too bad he didn't reach out to listeners / those who frequent sites like this to help with that. Between a handful of knowledgeable people with massive collections broadcast quality ...

Re: Scot Turner's Spirit of Radio Sundays on The Edge

Cancelled after 11 months. Apparently it was their highest rated show yet wasn't getting high enough numbers among their core target listeners aged 18 to 34. Did they think 11 months ago that age group were going to tune in in droves? There are no doubt those in that age group interested in what the...

Re: Scot Turner's Spirit of Radio Sundays on The Edge

I listened to the 2nd show for an hour yesterday and had to bail. Scot mentioned he was going to be airing a song from U2 every hour with it being the day before St. Patrick's as well as more than one Sinead track. Corus ( Bore Us ) must be pulling his strings as I find this lack of effort insulting...

Re: Scot Turner's Spirit of Radio Sundays on The Edge

The first show was so so. The only real somewhat surprise was airing the 102.1 Band. I hope Scot is allowed to dig a lot deeper. What made the station truly unique prior to 1988 was playing obscure artists. What we heard in the first show was the safe choices. Airing 2 songs each from 2 Can Con arti...

Re: Catch Phrase?

Perhaps someone can confirm if the phrase was actually:

"One of North America's TRUE great radio stations CFNY"

or TWO?

If TWO they may have been referring to WLIR in NY or KROQ in LA.
