and like I said in reply to your earlier post:
It's "Drip Dry Eyes" by Yukihiro Takahashi.

I believe the album was "Neuromantic" from 1981. Also from this album, "Grand Espoir" and "Glass" saw some airplay if I remember correctly.

It's a great album. I wish I still had my copy.

Hope this helps.

S*I*B - This used to be on CD, but has been discontinued for some time. There are some listed for sale at www.gemm.com in LP and CD.

As for where to find a vinyl copy, check out dealers in your area on this list: http://www.musicbymailcanada.com/ON.html.

FWIW, I've had good success finding rare and obscure titles at (a recommendation, not a plug) Ric's Recollections on Lakeshore in Mississauga.

Audiofool thanks for the music web site links very informative. That GEMM.Com Website is incredible on for HARD TO FIND MUSIC.

My Next 2 Songs i am in search of the name or the singer/Band is one i should know but it has slipped my mind. In the 1st song the Male singer says
" i wanna get High So So High, Sencilmania "

it sounds reggae i figured maybe bob marley but no and yes it was taped off cfny in early 80s, guess CFNY 102 Played Reggae back then too. Thanks in Advance to all that can help me.

The 2nd song is taped from CFNY Early to Mid 80s
with the words " She Says She Likes The Accent, She Thinks its So Polite" A female Vocalist sounds like.

I have about 2 Dozen more songs on Tapes I need identified from CFNY Recordings. This Web Site is AWESOME!!!!!

so far just reading past post i have came up with 4 of my unidentified songs

1. was the " so so so romantic " song which is a GREAT Tune by Cee somebody i forget the last name

2. was " Driving away from Home " by it's Immaterial, my Version i have on tape is the instrumental version which i prefer but i downloaded the internet version of the song and it had a male singer singing.

3. was " Drip Dry Eyes " my Yukihiro Takahashi who played with Yellow magic orchestra

4. was with the words " Who was that i saw you with sleeping in my bed last night" , Someone earlier mentioned it was a group from ottawa, another Great Toon that missed the charts, in fact all 4 of these missed the Charts somehow Unbelievable!

Thanks for your Time& Interest

I will Post all the songs i need idenified in this thread to save room.

Your first song is "Sensimilla" by Black Uhuru on their 1980 album called Sensimilla, produced and featuring Sly And Robbie.

As a side note, Black Uhuru opened for The Clash on their Combat Rock tour that played the EX (on Labour Day weekend, I think) in 1982 (?).

As for the second song, it's likely 'Vanity' by Adam Ant from his album "Strip" from 1983.

howz zat ?

StarsInBrampton,

The "so so so romantic" lyrics is from a song titled "Wildlife Romance" and the artist is Cee Farrow.

The band from Ottawa is Singing Fools and the song is "Fly by Night." This song is on Scott Eagleson - 4:45 am mp3 on the full length air checks on this great website.

Glen

My label is in the midst of acquiring the rights to re-issue Toby Swann's "Lullabyes In Razorland" for CD re-issue. "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" will most probably come out in the new year on one of our 'When CanCon Rocked' compilations.

We're also re-issuing the Bomb Catalogue (Battered Wives, Segarini, True Confessions, Quinton, Michael "Holland" Boyea, Twitch, etc.).

I think the correct lyrics might be "I'm riding a bullet train, to your sentimental station... and i fell under your spell, and i lay, where i fell". If so, the song would be "Postcards From Paradise" by Flesh For Lulu.
