i remember chris sheppard always used to play this in '88. i remember seeing it at "STARSOUND" (anybody remember that place - how sad its a quizno's now) but never bought it. it was on island records.

I have fond memories of Star Sound. I had a sweet deal going there...I worked for an unnamed DJ collective (kind of a talent agency) in Toronto, that put DJ's in various clubs. We (as DJ's) had a weekly budget for each club, and we would put in our purchase orders for records each week. You would only get what your budget could afford. The orders went to Star Sound.

One of the other DJ's, who was a friend of mine, had a day job working at Star Sound, and he was the guy who filled the orders. When I knew he was filling the orders, I would drop by, do some "shopping" (i.e. 20-30 12" singles each week) and he would drop them into my club's bag. They'd show up for my club, I'd get 20-30 free records, and someone (never knew who) would pay for them.
