hi folks,

i'm looking for title and artist of a nice rock song, sounds a bit like Boomtown Rats or The Jam. refrain goes like this: "just another high school killing on a Saturday night, somebody got caught in someone's sight". the song contains a great guitar solo.
i recorded it on tape 20 years ago. since that time i try to find out about this song, but no chance. who can help? thanks a lot.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone may have heard of a song called "One Night Lover"...Some of the words are: One night lover, oh' this is the last night we'll see each, one night lover, oh' this is first and the last night we'll share.

That's really all I know of this song. I would appreciate any help with this.

It's from the appropriately named Ivor Biggun, and it's proper title is "The Cockerel Song".

There's a fan site at: http://freespace.virgin.net/stephen.theobald/biggun.htm

He's got lots of other similar material as well (song titles are shown in detail on that page).
Including the ever-popular "I've Farted" which begat the er, colloquialism "Trouser Cough"

Looking for the title or artist of an old song. It may help to save my marriage. I'll explain later. I heard it late one night on CFNY
around mid 80's...god how time goes by....

It was mostly keyboartds, very melodic almost a ballad. Male singer with a voice like the the guy on squeeze.
The lyrics went somethiing like this

"I should of stayed by your side instead
I let you run around for sure, your
picture's in front of me, I'm listening
to every breath you take.
I suppose I'll take a shower read until my eyes get tired
I'm missing you now, I'm missing you now:

does this ring a bell with anyone?

There was a song cfny used to play at night in the early 90's. I always thought it was Peter Murphy, but now I'm not so sure. It was really repetitive, the word "heartbeat" was repeated throughout the song. Really dark, with a heartbeat in the background if I remember correctly. Really slow. One of the lyrics was "Let me feel your heartbeat". I taped it one night, and then took another tape and made an entire 60 minute loop of it. Played it in the dark a lot. I've been looking for this song for about 10 years now!

The name of the song is Heartbeat and the artist is Thomas Leer. It is one of the songs that is in the Best 85 of 85 list (song #43 in the top 45 to 40) in the Sounds/Full Air Checks. Refer to the "tree" structure on left.
