I found out last night Blue Peter's albums have been re-issued on cd.

Info: http://bluepeterband.com/index.php

Thought I'd share the news :D My store bought double cassette of \"Radio Silence\" and \"Up To You\" is on it's last legs.

Hmmm...I have Radio Silence on LP, but I was sure there was a compilation CD of their stuff released a few years ago, because I thought I had it. I seem to remember it being called "All Through the Night" or something like that. I'll have to have a look tonight.

I saw Blue Peter play at my high school in, I think...1986? If memory serves...

Yes, there was definitely a Blue Peter compilation released in the mid 90's - I have a copy of that too - there was also an EP of Don't Walk Past issued at around the same time. These new items are re-issues of the original albums rather than a compilation.

Thanks,
Ralph

Happened to be downtown, Thursday afternoon. Popped into Sam's, before they lock the doors for good. They were selling the 3 releases for $14.99. Everything 50% off, got all 3 for $7.50. I was happy! :D

Edit: The 3 releases are as follows:

Radio Silence/Test Pattern For Living, bonus tracks: Video Verite single, Take Me to War (live).

Falling/Vertigo.

Burning Bridges: Up To You/Version.

Anyone know the final day for Sam's? Almost worth a trip into the city for old time's sake and perhaps there might even be a few goodies for 50% off.

Later,
Ralph

Last day is June 30th. Selection is slim. I picked up a bit of a mix of things. Split Enz - Living Enz (double live cd), Robert Palmer - Live at the Apollo, Howard Jones - Cross That Line, Savatage - Dead Winter Dead, Hunters & Collectors - Ghost Nation (cassette 25 cents) and the three Blue Peter releases. Paid $51 and change including taxes. I forgot to go through the classical and jazz section :? Everything is on the ground floor.

What's going to happen to the big neon SAMS sign?

The large neon records and the Sam signs are staying, the building having been declared a \"Heritage site\". The smaller neon discs were a part of an auction that was held last Wednesday, IIRC.

Pics of some of the auction items here:
