Did anyone else hear a flow to Spirit of Radio.That is they placed songs togeather to say something.Make a statement.Relay a message!,I do remember one time , early 80s saying about some \"Bad Acid\" going around the streets......I belive (buddy told me) Nick Charles was fired for playing \"Family Affair\" for being passed up for promotion.(a family member higher up promoted their family instead.).I noticed how well the songs all knited togeather.try doing that with todays(if ya wanta call it that)Music!........Damn Generation Gap!.There will never be another type of musical Explosion like CFNY did in its time.It truely was the \"Spirit of Radio\"......& could someone refresh my memory on a recording contract the station offered from \"Battle of the Bands\"!????...I do remember them saying they had launched a lot of local bands carears!!!!.Who were they.....They should be posted like the first North American \"Airplay\" list!!(note to scott!)I still tune in Marsbar(but man can you tell how he & we have all aged).....They certainly set the standard in my musical tastes!...Radio today is \"virtual vomit\"for the ears!..I think the earth peaked in the 80s......20 years past Apogee!.Que REM.Later!
