I received this response to an inquiry about the H & F situation this morning:
July 9, 2003...
These things tend to happen very quickly. As you can imagine we are saddened by the news.
Humble and Fred were a huge part of MOJO. They have however, decided to move into another format of radio.
We will work hard to create another entertaining morning show for MOJO listeners.

Scott Armstrong

I got the same message...it came almost instantly...seems like an automated response.
I hear they've been working without a new contract for a while and got an offer to work for JACK FM that they couldn't refuse.

The same day (Wed.) Jim Rome started at the MOJO, coincidence? Next week, starting at 6pm, Stafford is bumped back from 3-6pm, I don't know what the rest of the schedule looks like. I never listened to them anyway.

Rome was a fill in for Jeff Marek who's normally on 7 to 9 PM. It was surprising they used Rome's sindicated sports talk show to fill the spot.

Those that don’t remember the past are condemned to repeat it…
I guess that Humble Howard doesn’t remember that saying….
The unfortunate thing is that he is dragging Freddy P with him

Will be nice to hear them back on FM radio. And, at the very least, they must have more of a cult following than Carla Collins (and they can't be any worse, right?).

Fred's worst moment came during Humble's absence. Someone started an unbearable and prolonged Salt and Pepper shaker story. This lame story went on for weeks about which shaker had one hole and which shaker had two holes. It finally ended when Fred said that this was the stupidest thing he had ever talked about. Any one remember who the co-host's were?

You know who thinks Humble is funny?
Humble. That's the problem.
Fred is just a lame old guy that has no tricks up his sleeve. Retire to your trailer.
