Hi all,

Anyone remeber a song that was frequently played by Live Earl and Bevery Hills called \"Potato Land\"?

Lyrics were very basic and went something like:

Take my hand,
Go potato land.
(repeat ad infinitem)

It was sort of a catchy tune and I've been looking for information reguarding the artist or origin of the tune.

Anyone remember it?

Mikey

The band is Spirit and the song/album is Potato Land. It's been reissued on CD. Spirit was a great band - you probably have heard a few of their songs over the years but never paid attention to the band name,,, Nature's Way... Fresh Garbage... I Got A Line On You... 1984 (which was remade by Nash The Slash). Best known for writing the song that Led Zeppelin "borrowed" to make "Stairway To Heaven". Also did a cool cover of Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone".
