I need help looking for two songs from the eighties. The first has lyrics with "my heart beats like thunder when you're near me" by a male voice. The second song has lyrics with "hey, what did I hear you say ... you didn't have to be that way" Thanks for any help you can give.

Steve Harley definitely was a solo act by the time he released "Heartbeat Like Thunder". The first time I heard it on CFNY (late '86?), I called and asked who did it. I don't remember who was on the air at the time, but he said I'd probably find the only copy of it in North America at the Record Peddler (on Carlton, across from the MLG). I hopped into my car, drove up to TO, and found the 12" remix after about an hour of searching. That remix is also on "Hardest Hits, Volume 3". Long live Pete & Geets (and Lardette :).

You can also hear (and request to hear) the Hardest Hits remix at Club80s.com on Mondays. Reason I mention it is because it just happened to come on as I was read ing this. Go figure!
