I think this was c.1985 but not 100% sure. This one has always stumped me because the hook sounded familiar but I could never ID the song.

Wow, that's awesome! The song is called "A River To A Sea" by a group called "Private Lives". Their album is entitled "Prejudice And Pride" and is absolutely SUPERB!!! I highly recommend you pick it up! (I've seen it on Ebay quite a number of times). The version you played sounds like a remix or an extended version. That's cool to know it was played on the airwaves at some point.

You're welcome...I've never actually been able to find the 12" of "River To A Sea"...when you get it, let me know what tracks are on it...I'm curious to see if they ever had any b-sides or cool mixes. I'd love to hear the 12" if you get a chance to digitize it to MP3/CD-R.

The 12'' has 4 track. The mix in question is the dub mix on the 'b' side.

Did you ever come across the remixes/B-sides to this? If so, I'd be very interested in having them. This thread caused me to go out and get the album when it appeared...and I have loved the material ever since.
Admin note: I'm tired of moderating the continuous spam being posted here. Deleting 10-20 offensive, pornographic or otherwise unrelated comments every day is not what I am here for.
