The song I look for is from 1989-90. It was a girl singing and the name of the song is something like "trying to get back to the earth". The lyrics are like" solid gold waterfalls 20 feet tall"

Song is Holdin' on to the Earth, by Samantha Phillips. I believe the album was called the Incredible Wow, but really I thought it was pretty bad outside of that song!
