This is supposedly a service that can ID a song. It's through a phone. Never heard of it until now, don't know if it works with "old" stuff like the 80s.

I highly doubt it, just another bs money grab by cell phone co's that will only identify the top 40 songs they play repeatedly on the radio. I think it's like a buck a song they identify - you could buy the song from iTunes for that!
The service will only be as good as the database of songs they have, I haven't used the service (and won't) but I highly doubt they go anywhere out of the current 'mainstream'.

Admin note: I'm tired of moderating the continuous spam being posted here. Deleting 10-20 offensive, pornographic or otherwise unrelated comments every day is not what I am here for. Because you guys can't police yourselves and behave, for now I've disabled the commenting functionality altogether. We'll see if we can come up with a better system in future.
