House music all night long, say what? House music all night long, say What?
From James, 5/1/2005 10:26:38 PM:
Are those lyrics you typed?
Gino Latino's "Welcome" has the phrase "House music all night long." It also has, "Move your body, move your body."
As for the "Say what?" . . . Captain Sensible had the song "Wot," and the female background vocalists say, "Say Wot."
From Mark, 5/2/2005 11:29:14 AM:
Yes they are lyrics and yes that is a female background vocalist.

late 1980's house music from "Chris Sheppard's" collection.
From 3lapdropout, 5/2/2005 3:29:23 PM:
It is not captain sensible but thanks anyway and no there is not a female background vocalist. It is a guy with a high pitched screachy voice that says "say what?".

Wow, you guys are great... brought back memories! But now you've made me remember one of the originals but I can't seem to find it or remember the name / artist. The song has a portion with a sort of mixed in melody that's sort of eerie and one of the really specific parts of the lyrics are something like "House nation, house nation, house house house, house nation" [followed by the melody]. Can someone please help me remember what it was ?
From DrownedOut, 5/31/2005 6:34:00 PM:
Oh and yeah, Chris Sheppard played it a whole lot esp. via his live from RPM gig.

"House Nation" by the House Master Boyz.

Scott! Thank you very much. You know the horror of a long forgotten tune buzzing in your ears and the inability to get at it! You nailed it.

One of the benefits of years working as a club DJ. :) I think I own three different versions of this song on 12" vinyl.

I've spent too many years being a corporate sell-out. I've returned the last several years to balance the forces and achieve some "research Karma" in graduate school. So, to help restore my soul, do you have any recommendations about good clubs for dancing? I'm thinking, once again, about RPM with Chris Sheppard or the clubs like Boot's and Kolby's - gay clubs that had great dj's and crowds that just liked to DANCE. Your recommendations?
From Mark, 6/1/2005 10:03:10 PM:
go to www.edge.ca and go to edge people and then Martin Streak, there is a few clubs that The Edge represents.

Scott, it's now been about 3 months and hmmm, I've not been able to get a legal copy of House Nations. I have a 48 second cut on TO Kool Chris from the iTunes Music Store. Any suggestions of where to look please? You can e-mail me directly at justin_pub at msn.com if you'd like.
