Hello all, can somebody assist me in finding this old song that contained the lyrics, with a woman singing, "I've got my walkman on, I've got my walkman onnn". I've tried doing a little research on-line for this but the only track I could come up with is "Walkman", by Kasso, an the only mp3 of this I could get a hold of is an instrumental, so I'm not even sure it's the song I'm looking for.
Also, one more pleeease...a song with the lyrics "no guts", that's in the style like a harder-sounding Kajagoogoo or something, like a little more on the tribally side. Probably from 82-83, and quite a dancefloor number I'd say.
Thanks so much!

It's by SSQ, called "Walkman On". SSQ was Jon St. James and Stacey Q (aka Stacey Swain). Jon St. James later did some solo work as well as writing and producing the later popular albums under the "Stacey Q" name.

Ahh, the name SSQ does sound sort of familiar now-- you're good man. (Is this Scott C by any chance?)
Any idea on the other tune?
Thanks

Quite possibly the second song is from Shriekback. The track being "My Spine (Is The Bassline)"
There's a song sample posted at amazon.ca under Shriekback, album The Dancing Years
hope this helps

update-----> I just listened to the track sample for the CD that I mentioned above and it's a really crap remix which renders the original song all but inrecognisable.
Instead, check out the sample under the album listing "Y Records Years" as it offers the original version.

Thanks man, it was "My Spine" (one of the coolest song titles of all time). I pulled out my "Care" album and took a listen and that's what it was. When I heard the song the other night at the bar I couldn't hear the singer's voice really, or I would have known right away, since his voice is so recognizable.
Much appreciated
