this a a song by the great french singer lizzy mercier descloux... 1979 i think. tumour, it's a pun with the jazz standard called fever, of course
she started in the post punk area, did some records in the 80s. got a couple of big hits in france circa 1984.
we hope she'll find a new record company one day!

I millions thanks. I've been looking for the artist of this one forever and was resigned to not knowwing. Thanks again I'm estactic. Now all I have to do is find out where I can buy a copy of this record. I have it on tape but the beginning and end are slightly clipped off because it was on a mixed tape.

ZE Records' reissue programme continues apace with the return of the second album from French New Wave heroine turned world music pioneer Lizzy Mercier Descloux. Originally released in September 1981, 'Press Color' was recorded at Compass Point, Nassau, and features Sly and Robbie, Wally Badarou and Steve Stanley, who played on the famous Grace Jones albums from the same period. Also included here are three tracks recorded in Soweto in 1982 and produced by Adam Kidron (Scritti Politti, Rip Rig & Panic), plus a Bob Marley cover from 1995 and an Arto Lindsay piece from 1980 finally completed in 2003. You can feel the sunshine in these grooves, distinctly French, funky and global. Includes five bonus tracks not on the original LP!
