Sorry, no mp3 sample of the original. From early to mid 80's up-tempo, male vocals Lyrics: Do you, do you, do you (horns) Do you wanna dance~ Do you, do you, do you Do you wanna dance (do you wanna, do you wanna) ?? ?? ?? ??? ? oh yeah.

Dave Edmunds did a version of "Do You Wanna Dance" in 1985, Ramones did one in 1977 resurfaced again mid-80s not sure if these two are what you are looking for.

Sorry, DJ Wave. It's not Dave Edmunds or the Ramones. I would say the song has more of a dance feel than rock. Sort of like Wang Chung's Everybody have fun tonight? Thanks for looking into it and please, if you happen to remember another possible match, I'm all ears.

I think what you're looking for is Dance With Me by Alphaville - you should be able to find a sample of that track pretty easily on iTunes or Amazon to confirm or deny.
Thanks, Ralph

Just listened to a sample of the Alphaville song and that is not it, either. The song I'm trying to remember, I think, has horns in the chorus section. Didn't seem so synth-heavy then. It wasn't trying to be smooth, just catchy with a little more punch. Thanks, Ralph.
