Previous responses from the 10/18/2002 original posting of this track has suggested this.
Unfortunately, nobody has confirmed actually owning this track and can tell us what release it is from.
All the Darkroom releases that we know of have not contained this song.

Living in the Shadows - Darkroom
Unfortunately my copy sounds about as good as yours...:)

I taped it off the radio and at the time I made the cassette I wrote the title after hearing the announcment so as far as I am concerned that is what it is.

I own (what I thought) were the only two full-length albums released by Darkroom (circa 1983 & 1985) ... check out: http://www.gruft-der-vampire.de/vampirgruft/jim_gray.htm -- it mentions that they only released 2 albums. Plus I've found (what I thought) were all 4 of their 12" releases and none of these records contain this song. There was a group in 1983 called "Modern Industry" who released a song called "Living In The Shadows" -- I've never heard the song done by this group, but it seems to fit the time/sound of this song. The vinyl is for sale on Ebay as we speak: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2511039490&category=22667

The Ebay listing looks promising but with the suggestion of it being punk I have my doubts. Perhaps Paul or myself will direct this seller to the site to confirm if this is the same song. The only thing that doesn't convince us that it's Darkroom is the fact that the male lead vocal is different and the use of a backing female vocal. Although it is possible that another member had vocals as well and they used a guest female vocal on this track.

This isn't Modern Industry, the Ebay seller confirmed this. If it is Darkroom, hopefully someone has this and can let us know which release it is from.

This is "Living in the Shadows" by Rave Revues - a great song - and I only heard it on CFNY.
Thanks! A friend of mine will be ecstatic at finally knowing the artist. Was this song available on their self titled LP?

I think I answered my own question. It's probably on their 1984 album Voices. Please confirm.
Thanks, Dave
