I'm trying to ascertain who sang "The Rubberband Man" in the 80s. It was a female singer. Apparently the song was originally done by the Spinners. Any ideas? Thanks.

The original was in fact by the Spinners, but the version played on CFNY was by Tamara Silvera. I featured it in June of 2002, you can read more about it here:
Rubberband Man was also covered by Yusef N'dor (Peter Gabrial's friend--both did that song Shaking the Tree). Linda Carter (Wonder Woman) did a version on TV.
