Unknown New Wave song, circa 1985. I remember the lyrics to the chorus very well:
"Are you coming home to stay, or will you spend this winter driving me insane?
Are you coming home to stay, or will you spend the season with the CIA?"

I don't if Denise could be a male name as well, but it may be this one:

I saw the Denise Knight record on eBay. It is a short 2:11 song that is described as a traditional / folk song of the 50s / 60s, played on a recorder. So we can probably rule that one out!

Been trying to identify this song for a long time so far all I've found is this reddit conversation about it:

I can confirm this. I used to listen to CFNY religiously as a teenager in this time period. (As an aside, i'm really, really regretting ditching the volumes and volumes of tapes I taped off of the station back in the mid-1980s.) This particular mystery song has come up in this sub before. Alan Cross, who still hosts a show on CFNY called The Ongoing History of New Music, is looking for this song. If he doesn't already know it, then none of us have a chance, ha ha ha.

Someone in the comments of the other post mentioned that they also asked David Marsden and Ivor Hamilton, both of whom were with the station at the time. They don't know, either

I've also learnt that this radio station and others like it used to often play songs that weren't well known the people were trying to make it in the industry so didn't always make it therefore they were never heard again. Alot were never kept track of so we have alot of the songs but no idea who or where they came from.

Hi Kirsty: That is so true. There were quite a few songs that I only ever heard one single time on CFNY.
