Oops! I didn't know where to type the description of my song. It is a Cocteu Twins-ish song that starts off with a lone female voice, with some strings in the background, singing something like "here I am...here I am". It was featured a couple of years back in a car commercial in the US. Thanks!

Hi Gerry,

I think it might be by Hooverphonic. They had 2 songs used in car commercials. Try Battersea or "Renaissance affair"

The Cranberies also had a song in a commercial called Dreams.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul, beleive it or not, it's none of those. It's similar to the Cranberries voice, though. This song is sort of meditative (no real beat going on). The lyrics "heeere I am, heeere I am" are definitely in there near the beginning. It's been killing me for about 10 years. Thanks for the help.

Hi again Gerry,

It sounds very familiar.
I thought it might of been one of those, but those songs were used 3 or 4 years ago.

Paul

Could it be This Mortal Coil's Song to the Siren, (originally recorded by the late Tim Buckley)?
If it is, it can be found on their It'll End in Tears LP.

YES! YES! YES! Now I can die in Peace. Thanks so much techiepenguin. You are awesome! I will now go out and get both, the origial and This Mortal Coil's version. That song has been rattling around in my brain for ages. Thanks again.
