There's a song from the mid-80s by who CFNY identified only as Johansen. It's upbeat and called something like Walking a Fine Line; at least that's what the lyrics would suggest... I feel like I'm walkin a fine line - O o ohhhh There's been so many times that I feel like walkin' away....
Any suggestions on the real name and singer of this song? It was so awesome.
Thanks ahead of time

A truely great song. I have the album, but no turn table handy. The lyrics below are from memory but are resonably close. Hope that helps.
Another day comes, another day goes No further ahead, we're just growin old Another billed paid, still more take it's place How did we ever get this way.
I know we don't live on the high side of town but it's killin' me to see you always down When you ask what do we do I never know what to say Wish I could make it all go away
[Chorus] I feel like I'm walkin' a fine line I feel like I'm walkin' a fine line
Can't seem to shake this mood I can't ease the strain. I can see your frustration I can feel your pain. Can't tell one day from another Nothin' seems to change How did we ever get this way
We've got to believe that things will change It's gotta get better, it can't stay the same Hold on to your dreams, don't let them fade away I just can't live like this another day
[Chorus]
Hold on to me, don't ever let go
From Bill O'Shea, 8/1/2005 9:38:45 PM:
Hold on to me, don't ever let go Cause I need your lovin' Won't you let it show The last part was cut off. Here it is.
There's been so many times when I felt like walkin' away But something always held me Something made we want to stay
Open your heart girl Cause I feel like I'm walkin' a fine line

Johansen Walkin a Fine Line
Another day comes, another day goes No further ahead, we're just growin old Another bill fades, till more take it's place How did we ever get this way.
I know we don't live on the high side of town but it's killin' me to see you always down When you ask what do we do I never know what to say Wish I could make it all go away
[Chorus] I feel like I'm walkin' a fine line Dont make me feel . . . I feel like I'm walkin' a fine line
Can't seem to shake this mood I can't ease the strain. I can see your frustration I can feel your pain. Can't tell one day from another Nothin' seems to change How did we let it all slip away
Have we forgotten the dreams that we once shared As the days're growin' colder do you even care? When I reach out to you you seem so far away Just cant keep going on this way,
[Chorus]
Some nights I lay awake too tired to sleep And I think about the way that it us
From Els, 1/8/2006 10:09:00 PM:
Message got cut off, here's the rest of the song:
Some nights I lay awake too tired to sleep And I think about the way that it used to be I can hear your laugh, I can feel your touch Oh I miss it all so much
We've got to believe that things will change It's gotta get better, it can't stay the same Hold on to your dreams, don't let them fade away I just can't live like this another day
[Chorus] I feel like I'm walkin' a fine line Dont make me feel . . . like I'm walkin' a fine line

I love this song. I wrote out the lyrics because I couldn't find them. And I had to record the song onto my comp as it seems to not even be online. It's a good song, but so hard to find.
From Barbara Ralph, 7/10/2006 4:57:09 PM:
Is Glen Johansen still in Barbados? I found his site but his e-mail is still not responding. Would someone let me know please. I am in Toronto and he sang at my wedding in 1980. I lost contact with him when he moved to Barbados.
