My parents originally had these tapes, and my mom said she remembered this song was called 'Geromine', as said in the song, but she has no idea who did the song - it's got all pseudo-native american style sounds in it (flutes, etc.), and it has verses spoken by someone who sounds somewhat like Sven Vath during Off, and the lyrics are all detailing a fable of someone named Geromine taking gold from an Ican god - any ideas??

Hey Vrinda, The only song I know with 'Geromine' is called "For Geromine" by a group called Quartz in 1979. I haven't heard the song in a long time and I am not sure how it goes. Sorry, that I couldn't be of more help.
From Vrinda, 10/19/2003 11:21:33 PM:
Yeah, this is something entirely different, from about 10 years later in fact.

Hi Vrinda !
Sorry i don't know the artist but i'm very like this song, please tell me too if you get any infos about this song :)
Hmm . . . I did some background research and, if you haven't found it yet, I think that I may have. I tried a different spelling, "Jeromine" and "inca". Here's what I got: Jeromine (single) backed with Jeromine (instrumental) Released in 1988 in Belgium Band: Dobel You Topic refers to Jeromine Pasteur who has lived in Peru for 20 some years with the Ashninka.
I could be mistaken, but I think it's on the right path.

Positive ID Band: Dobel You Song: Jeromine (a-side) Jeromine (instrumental) (b-side) The remainder of the lyrics that are not given in the clip describe Jeromine Pasteur and her mission to bring "fair trade" ideals to Peruvian 'indians.'
