The song I'm looking for I heard somewhere between 1988 and 1990 on CFNY. It's got a male singer (sounds like Peter Murphy) and has an overproduced sound. In the refrain he sings "La, la, la ... la, la, la... la, la, la... la, la, la" and in the song there's a line that ends "...Arabian nights." And he gives a long screaming moan during the song that leads into more lyrics. I also heard the song a couple of times in the early 90s in the background of MTV's movie review show The Big Picture with Chris Connolley. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. ---Logan

P.S.: The song sounds like a late 80's Peter Murphy or even David Sylvian song, but I can't find it in either of their catalogs. If Dalis Car (with PM) had continued on past "The Waking Hour" LP, their sound would be like this song.

Hi Logan,
Might be "No Promises" by Icehouse.
Cheers,
Paul

Many thanks, Paul! "No Promises" is it!!!!! Since I've moved to the U.S. I think my brain cells have been eroding away, so I've completely forgotten about Icehouse. ---Logan
