The coast
Scott Eagleson still does voice work in Vancouver.
David Hawkes also worked at the Fox and XFM. I believe his retro night was at Luv Affair.
David Marsden at The Rock in Oshawa.

Colonel Dave
It may have been utility DJ, Dave Magor (Mangor?) (sorry for the spelling Dave) He spun a number of shows including Warming Up the House on occasion and handled Club 102, Fridays and Sundays etc., when the normal DJ's weren't available. He was/is a decent level headed guy who did a good job.

We Can Walk
I seem to remember Plastercene Replicas was one of the first bands managed by Jake Gold (ex Hip, current Canadian Idol) - right after the Purple Hearts (former \"Numbers\"). We (CFNY) booked a Christmas show with the Replicas at The Copa in 1988 (or '89?) and to Jake's credit - he protecte...

REAL Classic Alternative - The Dishes
I love it when I find labels rereleasing classics. Google Bullseye Canada I just ordered The Dishes - featuring Tony Marone (Drastic Measures) and Murray Ball on vocals (used to run RPM). I saw the Dishes live on a TVO special in the late 70's and remembered the hook from Summer Reaction for close t...

This is the song I originally bookmarked. This site is where the Grottybeats song lives. If you google Grottybeats, it'll give you the exact page.
But listen to some of these other power pop hits too!

Live Recordings
When ' NY moved from Brampton to Downtown, they transferred a lot of the old live recordings to digital tape. I did, however, send The Nails their original reel to reel tapes of a live show they did at a bar at Queen and Bathurst, which they cleaned up and released on a home made CD. If you google T...

Twitch
On one of my first trips as a grown up to the Greater Metropoltan region know as TorBurOakassaugamilton, I saw Twitch in 1979 in downtown Hamilton. It was great fun, as I was going through a Buddy Holly phase and thought the leader guitarist/singer (who I guess is Garwood) looked a lot like Buddy Ho...
