This is one of the stupidest threads on here. Dave Marsden is older than Streek and he's back on the radio.....let's get rid of him!! Martin can be annoying but he does know his music and yes he is a good guy and DJ.

It is sad that anyone has even posted a word about this. People with so little time on their hands, need to sit here and gossip about stupid things like this. It's really sad. Do you even think that people who work at the Edge even read this? Or anyone who still has a job in radio for that matter. Outside of the god Marsden.
The person who runs this site should take it down. Writing badly about anyone this way is just not right. From the person who posted the petition, to the people who are cutting the two dj's down. This site is about the Spirit of Radio, not useless ways to invest your time.

Actually, I think it's appropriate to clarify some facts.
Martin Streek is not or ever was a DJ.
He is an announcer.
Martin just invests a lot of energy to create the false perception that he's something he's not.
The man who was the brains and work on the Live-To-Air weekend was DjDwight whose role was Dj/Programmer/Producer Edge Live-To-Air.
This guy had the shows humming on a level nobody thought would happen again since Shep.
Ever since DjDwight quit last year the shows sucked!
So much so that Joe Nightclub cancelled the Retro Live-To-Air because the product became so poor.
If there should be a petition, it should be to bring Dwight back.

First of all, I don't think Martin has ever tried to give anyone the impression that he's the DJ at anyone of the clubs he MCs at. Second of all.. DJ Dwight quit? Not quite. He got fired for trying to screw Martin out of his job while he was on vacation (I guess being the dj wasn't enough control for him). DJ Craig G is doing a swell job anyways. Lastly, I think the reason that Joe no longer does a live to air with the edge is because they keep adding more and more 90s music as the years go by... which I don't think went over well with the crowd...

Age means nothing except experience. If you keep up with the music, you can do it as long as people will continue to pay to hear you. And if you're good, people are going to continue to pay to hear you.

Currently, Martin is an announcer.
Martin was orginally a dj before he was announcer.
The retro live to air has gone through many djs over the last 10 years, all of them play the same music. I know I will here Soft Cell, and the Boomtown Rats, and Home for a Rest by SOTW every weekend.
If anyone should be brought back it should be DJ Dingra and Ivan.
DJ Dwight is NO SHEP. That's like saying my Hyundai is a BMW.
