Hey Alan.....since you came on the scene the station actually sounds worse. It's even more repetitive. Why even have a PD when it's all done for you anyway??

He can't do anything, the owners are only interested in ratings and dollars. The owners want a formula and that formula is to play what's popular a million times a day. Cherish The Spirit Of Radio days, it's never going to happen again unless you or I or someone who used to listen to The Spirit revives it by winning the Super 7 tonight and buys this station.

Hey Alan....Y108 sounds exactly the same as it did when you were there. CFNY sounds the same now with you as it did with Kneale as it did with John Jones......the question is...Does radio really need a Program Director when it is so carefully programmed for the mass drones who listen?

Please!!! We all know that Alan Cross won't be doing anything to improve the Edge (CFNY)...Exactly you don't need a program director.....Alan just has a "New Title".....you cares!!!!! I don't care who the program director is...just do something that will make an impact!

Some people I talk to swear that Edge is getting better because they're playing the Stills or an old Smiths song a couple of times in the day. I have tuned in repeatedly and heard the same crap they play all the time; Staind, Creed, Simple Plan, Sum 41, etc. Ack...tpht!!!! I don't actually have the patience to sit through another Stinkin' Park song and 20 other songs that sound just like it hoping to hear a Smiths song. Life is too short for that ••••.

Though to be fair, he's good in his HisofAltRock; save, in my opinion:
(1) His dissing of 70's progressive. I love 70's progressive and wonder why it hasn't been revived, or even fused with the very punk that opposed it--as was heavy metal and rap was fused with it.
(2) He didn't know what he was talking about funk supposedly fused HM and punk.
(3) This 13-year or like cycle of the revolution of music and how the Strokes might be the next Sex Pistols.

Just like any other radio station....the Program Director is just a 'yes' man and takes orders from the record companies. Individualism and Entrepreneurialism is a lost and dead art.
