I just got handed a flyer for some new retro party starting on March 29. It even mentions "the spirit of radio' in the body text. There is also a story that uses over a hundred 80's song titles and you have to guess the bands that wrote them. It is a great challenge even for a real CFNY fan.

I encourage everyone here to check out the DJ's site and try attending these events. I am seriously looking forward to this guys take on the 80's. I think I have been waiting for something like this to come along for over 13 years. Am I aging myeslf or what?

Get your kids fake ID and bring them with you. You could stick little moustaches on them to make them seem older. ;)
I was handed the flyer at the Paul Weller show last Monday. I have also seen them in some of the stores along Queen St West. I just emailed the guy and he said that he will start a full street level campaign for the night starting on March 1st. He also mentioned he will be handing flyers out at the Erasure show at Massey Hall March 5. Anyone going to Erasure?

lol, sure why not. Imagine my 4 month old with fake ID :o) Anyway how was the Paul Weller show? I like that new Erasure cover of that Peter Gabriel tune. Again, I would love to go, but...can't! Take care, A

The Paul Weller show was blah. The crowd and the performance was uninspiring. I saw Ladytron tonight (Feb 24) and had a good time. I even saw Don Berns at the show.

CFNY should be playing more nu electro stuff because it sounds like the 80's all over again.
