The Ocean Blue is one of my all time favourite music groups and has been cited elsewhere as a cfny favourite. But I can't remember if I ever actualy heard them on the station (my exposure to cfny was pretty limited in the late 80's and after). They clearly have the sound of the new wave/spirit of radio era.
While people have mentioned music of their first album as a cfny favourite, what about their Cerulean album from 1991? Or did cfny stop playing them by that time? Cerulean is certainly my favourite of their early albums if not their entire career, a musical masterpiece.Their 2004 ep Waterworks is a strong contender.
Hopefully they come out with a new album soon.

Ocean Blue
I'm also a fan, at least of their first two albums. It's terrible how when CFNY changed the format in the late eights, how many bands ( some of whom still exist today) I have lost touch with. No avenue to hear them anymore. Actually, I hear a track or two at the local Price Chopper. Can you believe it??
I have heard CFNY jocks spin many tracks from the first album, Between Something and Nothing (amazing track), Vanity Fair, The office of a buzy man.
I have also heard Crulean & Mercury on the air, then...........bupkus.
Nothing but Treble Charger.
Got a chance to see The Ocean Blue at Lee's Palace in the early 90's! Great Show.
