Michael Been of The Call recently died of a heart attack at age 55 (or near 55). The Call was an important band for me in the 80's, my preference being their first four albums. Anyone remember this band? I listened to their Reconciled album on the stereo yesterday, a really underrated album that needs to be played at a good volume.
Every internet article I've read, says he passed at age 60. But according to the liner notes of their album "The Walls Came Down" (a best of compilation of their first three lp's), Been claims he was 27 when they made their first album. They made their first album in 1982, so if he was 27 that year, that means he would have turned 55 sometime this year. To young to die in my books.
Hear are a couple of great songs from his band:

I hope he has found the homeland he was longing for (referencing a lyric from the first song).

Hear is the article I meant to share (though the age of his death is doubtful):

Sad to hear.
Loved "I Don't Wanna", "Everywhere I Go", and "Let the Day Begin" by them.
