Seems like life revolved around music for me in the 80's, and CFNY turned me on to most of the music that I still listen to today. I love browsing thru message boards like this, reading thru your "Top Ten Edge Tunes" and other threads here, and it seems like I always find another song that I have forgotten about. Here's a list of some of my favorite EDGE songs that some other readers may have forgotten about.

Sorry, I don't have any 20th Century Rebels in MP3 format .... That's one that I'm still looking for. I used to pop in cassette tapes back in the 80's and tape a few hours of CFNY, and I have quite a few songs, half of them I don't know the name of. I'm currently trying to accumulate an MP3 collection myself!

Hiya Gratz, glad you found this site. If you don't already know, Marsden has a show on 94.9 every Thurs and Fri nights, 7pm to midnight, you'd be surprised by what he plays. From your list, i've heard Spoons, Alexi Sayle, FM, Grapes of Wrath, Chalk Circle, and 5440. There was so much great Canadian music in the late 70s to late 80s Golden Age, and Dave's making sure they're not forgotten.
One small correction to your list: "Fear is Never Boring" was from The Bears, Belew's group. Great song, and more like it on the LP if you can find it.

i loved club 102 and after reading this site i'm remembering the tunes that changed my world! Deadly headly that followed was awesome too! My parents used to freak cause i was up so late watching them both. I'd kill for some video footage! But I have a question. Deadly headly or chris played this awesome tune by cabaret voltare and i cant remember the name. Does anyone here remember?

Shep used to play a cool Cabaret Voltaire megamix based on "Here to Go" that sampled the voice of Frank, the character played by Dennis Hopper in the movie "Blue Velvet".

Speaking of forgotten, I picked up the vinyl soundtrack to the movie Times Square with The Cure, Gary Numan, Pretenders, and a whole bunch of good stuff. It came out in 1980. Has anyone seen this movie?

XTC's on there too, with "Take This Town". For a long time (until the advent of CD compilations) it wasn't available on any other XTC release. Good album, but the movie blows.
