Puppets - Way of Life. Info needed pls!

I'm looking for info about a band called The Puppets who had a fab song called The Way of Life that was released around 1983 on Quality Records.

Lyrics went something like this:

We all live with a little pain my dear
We love the tension in the atmosphere
It was the way of life
Though not the best I'm sure

Does anyone know anything about the band? Did they release any full length albums, or just the one single? Did any of the members go on to form other groups?

I Googled for over an hour last night and came up with nothing!

Well, that song (and a '91 remix of the track) is on the very hard to find Hardest Hits Vol 1 CD. I think that the songwriters might be mentioned on the sleeve of that CD, perhaps someone else can have a look at their copy, I have a photocopy of that sleeve somewhere around from the person that made me a CD-R of that CD, but I have no idea where I might find the photocopy.

Yeah, have it on vinyl - bought it on Ebay for about 2.00 plus shipping, but the person selling it didn't realize it's worth about 50.00 - doesn't matter, since I don't intend to sell it.. been listening to it on and off for about 20 years.

It is on hardest hits vol. 1 - but would you try to find it, then buy it for about 150.00 just for that song? Let's be reasonable...

Isnt't the bands name \"The Poppets\" spelled with an 'o' instead of 'u' ?
well if it isnt then that's just what i heard, but if anyone has this song, whatever version long or short can someone please take a minute and send it to [email protected] in MP3 form, I would greatly appreciate it cause this is a tune that i havent heard since the 80's but remembered all of a sudden when i had seen this forum......i'm sure glad it's here!!!

Ah the B-52's were great!

Never heard of the Poppets, but if yer seaching online for it, might try (aka) Passion Puppets. The only place I know of it being on cd is Hardest Hits Vol 1 (1991). Good luck finding that. Don't have time now but if yer really interested, keep pestering as I may know somebody who has it...
