Easy enough concept - I'm burning a disc of music to listen to during the terrible drive from Toronto to the great unpopulated North in October. Select one CFNY-worthy song (no matter how popular or obscure) for me to put on my disc. I'll stop when I hit 20 songs. The only rules are:

1. The same artist will not appear more than once on the disc.

I'm curious to see how this turns out.

As far as cool driving tunes go, this one would do it for me:

Yello - I love you

(runner-up choice would be: Stan Ridgeway - Drive)

Josie Cotton - Johnny, Are You Queen?

...except the "n" of Queen is an "r" - the program won't let me type •••••!

Yea baby, I do this all the time with my ipod try:

The Boo Radleys-Lazarus
Inspiral carpets-Dragging Me Down
Lloyd Cole-Forest Fire

Always end your disc with
The Mission UK's-Tower Of Strength.
This is like Genesis not performing an encore after playing twenty six minutes of Supper's Ready. There is no encore to a master piece.

Post your list and I'll giver a try :-)

For highway driving, nothing beats the Imperial March from Empire Strikes back, but as far as CFNY-worthy songs go, how about:

Driving Away From Home - It's Immaterial
Numbers - Kraftwerk
This Corrosion - Sisters of Mercy

I'm more than happy to suggest:

Big Audio Dynamite - "E=MC^2"

And sure, everyone knows this one, but how can you have a CFNY mix CD without Rush - "The Spirit of Radio"? ;)
