ID of a personality...

Good day all,
I am trying to find out the real name of a personality who used to do rare bits during the Pete & Geets show. In particular it was during a show around the time of the 20th anniversary of something to do with The Beatles which happened to be the spring of 1984. The personality's name was R. Monger (sp? may have been Munger) and Pete or Geets asked him what he was doing 20 years ago meaning 1964. His reply was something to the effect that he was talking to his Deans House housemaster at Ridley College. Well this got me thinking because at the exact time that I heard this I was attending Ridley and so I went and looked through the old yearbooks trying to find some person with a name similar to R. Monger. No luck and until this day I have not been able to ask the question because I knew no one whom I thought would know the answer.

Anyone know who R. Monger was/is?

Pete - The moniker of "R. Monger" was an 'air name' for their gossip columnist. The 'R' stood for Rumour, as I recall. As to the actual identity of Mr Monger, sorry I can't be of more help.
