Extending and updating some of the posts made in the "Spirit of Radio Equivalents of 2003" about this great Cincinatti, Ohio station - shortly after I started listening to it (from reccommendations made here), the original owners sold it and it seemed to be about to close down or change format. I thought all was lost and stopped listening.
But, after closing down briefly, it's risen from the ashes to become an Internet-only radio station. So it's now available on more formats than before and the music is actually better than before.

Check them out. It sounds great to me.

Not only does it sound great but it really rocks. It is the closest thing I have found to the old spirit days.
Now they are launching a new stream called 'Woxy Vintage' and will be playing tracks from their collection of over 11,000 cds from the last 23 years.

Further, I don't think the original owners sold it. I believe they just gave up the Radio broadcasting license(Over the Air), Kept all the CDs and went internet only.

Yes they did, and they're going to introduce a second stream soon (end of this month), featuring more of the classic stuff.

"97-X BAM. The future of rock and roll." That's the station (or at least it was), and technically it's OXFORD, OH (home of Miami U.) not Cinci, which is twice the fun of Dayton -- but quite embarassing.
