For the past 5 years, I have been able to broadcast many of the records collected during the 80's 'NY period on WEVL Memphis Friday Mornings at 6 (Central). Fortunately, the station is now webcasting at
www.wevl.org. The show is called The Modern World. If you are awake early enough, you may catch it online.
I also have spiritofradio.ca and all the message board posters here to thank for the inspiration to play as much of the old CFNY-type music as I can.
