Does anyone remember the Gasworks, Young Station, the Embassy (my favourite in the 70s), Place Pigalle on Avenue Road, the Nags Head (Yonge and King)?

So - the restaurant just south of Bloor on the east side of Yonge was called Century 66 and was owned by the same guy who owned Voodoo.

Siobhan had Pariah at Twilight Zone on Wednesday nights. An amazing night, and was fun, fun, fun. Remember the Red Room? (Who can forget?)

And yeah, the Beggars Banquet Music Festivals. I could watch them from my balcony, but went to all of them. There were about five.
Who remembers these concerts? Who has posters? I'd love some photocopies. They were held in Porters Field Stadium on Humber Blvd. There is now a Catholic School there.
Sometimes I miss Tranna, but it's just too friggin' busy for me.

Got food poisoning once at Nuts & Bolts, didn't want to pay the cover (it was still early evening, we just wanted some cold beer & good tunes)but they told us it included hamburgers & fries each so seemed a deal. When I was spewing out the window of my Impala getting on the Gardiner, didn't think it was such deal. Man, that stuff was toxic & discolored the paint til I put it into a guardrail on the QEW @ Lake St in "St. Catharines the Garden City, Hub of of the Golden Horseshoe" a few months later! Shutters & Boards or the Late Show in Buffalo, anyone remember them? Saw 999 at Harveys & Corky's on Main St in Buffalo, the Police with XTC opening on Super Bowl Sunday @ U of B, U2 (October Tour) @ Uncle Sams,drove through a blizzard, played 3 songs twice cause they didn't know any more to play!

Well, for the record RPM was actually called FRESH before RPM. Shepard worked at Mystique I believe. He was probably 15 or 16 years old.The hot spots were LE TUBE,KOMRADS,101,TWILIGHT ZONE,DOMINOS,NUTS AND BOLTS,ILLUSIONS AND FRESH. The best sound sysyem was by far the TWILIGHT ZONE.Your pants literally moved to the bass.Later FACES ,MYSTIES and SHOUT on the airport strip became popular. Small DJ groups like KILOWATT,SUNSHINE,MASIO,FUNKY SOUNDS,L7 AND LA FAMILIA arrived and did hall dances.It was a different time and todays concerns did not exist.You did not kill people with guns and knives. You actually listened to the doormen.Yes we had a lot of fun, I am so glad I saw it all.

Earl and Beverly used to do this weird weeknight thing at an upstairs place in Orangeville called Paridise or something. "With the bouncing dancefloor." It was the very first bar I snuck into underage. Cool times.
