Who can forget Spanky's in Brampton? Plus of course Alfalfa's Lounge?

Both underneath The Spirit on Kennedy Rd S and both hang-outs for a lot of the personalities.

Man-those were great times........

Yeah, all those memories. I don't know the name of that restaurant. Although, I am in the process of writing a factional book about the alt clubbing scene here in Toronto between the late '70's and the early '90's. It has been a blast doing the research and finding lots of stuff that I had forgotten about. If you do a search for Ralph Alfonso on the net, you should be able to contact him. He was the manager of the Diodes.

Cheers =)

The Toronto Star had a story on Lorraine Segato's new TV show on City-TV Friday nights. It's like a documentary on Queen Street West during it's heyday. It's called QSW: The Rebel Zone.

I don't know how long the link will be archived, but go here for the complete article -

Oh, I dunno about that. It's all relative, I think. If you went to Fran's for a good meal as a whole experience, I can see how you might be disappointed. However, Fran's was a great place to get pancakes after an amazing concert or just fun night out. For me, I can't imagine a night at the Concert Hall or the Silver Crown without a late snack at Fran's.

Viva Zappata's near Yonge and Eg was cool.
Frans 'pre'cured' the hangovers though...many times.
But nothin ever beats a Pizza sub on the wasy home from the Twilight Zone...I am reduced to tears remembering some of those 80s days.
