Beggars Banquet Music Festivals

Does anyone from Toronto remember these festivals.

They were held at Porter Stadium on Humber Blvd. in the 70's. I lived nearby and was about 14 yrs. old and not allowed to go but snuck into one of them. How cool it was!! Our eyes were like saucers! Hippies, and rock and roll and wild times.

I remember only a little - Alice Cooper, and Crowbar. Funnily enough I lived next door to Kelly Jay who wrote Crowbar's, "Oh What a Feeling...What a Russsssshhhhh!" for 3 years in Canmore Alberta. I reminded Kelly about that concert and he says, "Your datin' me girl, your datin' me"

I would love to know who else played at that concert and who played at the others...I think there were 3 in total. Who knows how I can find out more? I remember cars parked everywhere around our street, up on lawns and it was crazy!

I attended only one of the BB Fests. Headlining was the Band. Also on the bill: Edgar Winter's White Trash, Seatrain, Leigh Michaels, and Sha Na Na.
