Song#6- I'm just taking a stab at this one so I'm probably way off but is it So,what of tomorrow by the Electronic dream factory.
It's not quite a roller coaster scream but it's got a repeating kind of yell that has also been used by Front 242 and Texas Audio

Thanks Steve! Thought I might have had it for a sec. Have the LP, but no luck. Know what to look for now. Much appreciated

Great guess Heather, Yon Yonson was indeed performed by The Dave Howard Singers. A local Toronto gentlemen named Dave Howard did it all on his own. I used to know Dave, he is a great cat. Look for his Dr. Ruth Sex Sampler 12", it is truly caustic and worth having.

Anyone here have USENET access? Would love to see some of this obscure stuff (Yon Yonson I remember, but there's no way I'm gonna be able to find the Dr. Ruth Sampler 3000 miles away from Toronto!) posted in absmp3.80s or .indie.

Hey, remember "Warm Leatherette"?
Warm leatherette, melts on your burning flesh, quick let's make love before you die.
Who was that, I'd like to hear it again. I never saw "Crash" but always assumed Cronenburg was humming this litte ditty.

Grace Jones covered it as well, but not as well.

... actually, the best reference I found for the Yon Yonson song is from the Kurt Vonnegut novel Slaughterhouse Five ...
[Throughout the first chapter of Slaughterhouse-Five,
Vonnegut tells us how whenever he was asked what he was working
on, he responded, "a book about Dresden." He thinks of this
response as his endless curse, like the song that goes:
My name is Yon Yonson, I work in Wisconsin, I work in
a lumbermill there. The people I meet when I walk down
the street, They say, 'What is your name?' And I say
'My name is Yon Yonson, I work in Wisconson...(pg.3)'
And so on into infinity]

Behold the power of Google. I'd also kill for a good rip, or even a bad rip, of Yon Yonson. Can anyone get it to a.b.s.m*cough*p3.80s on USENET?
