Great site...hope you can help me out with this one. I can't recall there being much of a verse if any but the chorus has a monotone male voice repeating "...I want, i want, i want your soul". I would guess around 1985. This is kind of an electronic dance track more than a song. CFNY played it infrequently and usually at night.

Yikes, I dont think I'm the best reliable source for this since I was only like 12 at the time, but I do remember that one and I did like it. I *think* it was the same artists of that song "19" but I am probably wrong lol, I'll see what I can do for you about that one because that was a great tune. I wouldnt mind getting a confirmation on that one myself!

I think 19 was done by Paul Hardcastle, but I don't think he's the artist that did the "I want your soul" song. It was much darker than Paul Hardcastle's stuff. The only think I could compare it to is "Sneakyville" by Secession.

Beale et. al.,
the DoV CD version of SiMM "The Motorcade Sped On" does not include the voice of Walter Cronkite reposting on the death of JFK. Without that sample vocal track, the song lacks it's impact. I was very disappointed when I picked up that comp the week it came out...

Does anyone remember a song with a chorus that went something like "Don't say that's just for white boys"? It's been bugging me for years!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Mystery Song
It is "Don't Say That's Just For White Boys" by Way Of The West. It was released in 1980 on a 12" single. To my knowledge it has never been released on CD.

Thanks, Ralph and Anonymous.
I've been looking for it on Kazaa for months now, with no luck. With no CD release, guess that explains why......

Hi - I was referred to this group cause you are the experts and may help identify a song from a few years back (maybe from 1996 to 2001?)
It was featured as CFNY New Music Search and maybe even won... the one line that sticks in my memory is "grabbed some Dom and a slice to go" (ie. Dom Perignon)... basically about a road trip, I think. The chorus mentioned something about Elvis.
Any help??

Hey Guys...
I'm looking for a song from around '76 - '77 that kinda went like this...
"You Look Good
Bsby, I Don't Care
You Look So Good
whatever You Wear"
Kind of a slow rock beat with clairinets, french horns, tubas and a female lead vocalist.
Could someone please dig deep and identify this one?
It was played on AM radio and is beleived to be a british singer

I heard a song only once, loved it, never heard it again, never could find it, not in the stores, not on the net.
It might have been called "Toronto Congo" or just featured that line. Which is not to be confused with Max Webster's Toronto Tontos.
