Streaming podcasts now online!

Post by admin »

Lee Carter wrote me the other day:
I was thinking about an idea for the website the other day.

How about getting some of the deejays to do a one-off show, which would only be available from the website? I'm not talking about huge extravaganzas, something that could fit on one CD, so no longer than 80 mins each.
So here's the result: http://www.spiritofradio.ca/Podcasts.asp Brand new online shows from ex-CFNY DJ's, showing what they're up to and into now! Are you a CFNY alumnus? Contact us with your show!

TYTYTYTYTThank You Mr. Jive & Mr. Carter,

What a great idea and response by you two. Your collaberations are such a fine example of what GOOD radio would sound like if it existed today! I am pacing myself in listening to them so as not to get through them too quickly. Reminds me so much of my days listening to cfny staying glued to the speakers to hear what song or WHITTY or informative comment may be made by the PROGRAMMER next! Radio personalities like you guys & The Mars Bar do not exist anymore on our local accessable FM radio. Damn I wish the corperates would give thier head a shake and someone try something new. Fm radio today all sounds too predictable musically and the peronalities; DONT HAVE ANY!
If I won a million/billion $$ in the lottery, before a fancy car or house, I would buy an FM signal (what do they go for these days anyway...) and hire Lee Carter, David Marsen, ship Earl Jive & Beverley back here, have them interview & hire other new & potential radio personalities, then start up a 21'st century radio station that listeners from the past could sink into and listeners from the present didnt even know could have existed. Demographics - shemographics. Playlist - shmaylist...
I am winded and this is a long post.
Guess what I originally wanted to say was THANK YOU, and I look forward to more.
But thats just me.....................

Thanks guys. I got to listen to some of Earl's (Bev's in there too) a couple of days ago. They're totally fab - moving effortlessly from 80s classics, to The Beatles to lounge lizard jazz etc.

A couple of other Spirit allumni have said they're also going to do some so I'm sure there will be more.

Muchly enjoying your show so far Lee.

To everyone else, how do I make these show be on my non-iPod mp3 player? I'm listening to it in Media Player now.

No wait, I figured it out. In Media Player I go Save as... and it's an mp3.
