I sent an e-mail to Barry Taylor this week and Alan Cross responed for him. It was a very nice surprise. He is listening. I think thoes who claim to be the guardians (ha! a Brampton word.) of this stations history need to keep reminding him that we're out there.

Shouldn't Barry Taylor be answering his own emails?
I tried to email Cross but it seems like his email isn't working.

Hey everybody, count your blesssings that you've been exposed in previous lives to great, stimulating, progressive, chalenging programing. You will get that benefit back becuase everything is cyclical, & there is always an option to fill a void created, especially in our digital world. I, like you, took it for granted, moved to Saint John NB, & will tell you that I thank God for Iceberg.com, as there is no , no, no, no palitable option locally. Keep pounding the SPIRIT, support the alternatives that are available, demand diversity, & refuse to listen to Sh*t music. You will be heard, or at leas those playing the sh*t will not.

O.K. I sent an e-mail to Barry Taylor cc'd to Alan and Alan answered back. I was questioning them as to why they were ignoring The Arcade Fire. Alan answered back that basically Merge would not send them any free copies of Funeral and when they did sit down and listen to it they decided it was "not the most radio friendly album." This week Barry did e-mail me to say they had added the band to their rotation. The Arcade Fire is on Conan O tonight. Tim Kingsbury is from Guelph and a really nice guy. They do deserve better from The Edge.

What is "Radio Friendly" anyhow, Hootie and the Blowfish?
