Anyone Remember these 2 Songs?

OK CFNY radio spirits -

I'm looking for a couple of songs that were only ever played on CFNY

the first is called "Toast" and it was cult fave - a little plinky new wave number, about eating toast

the second - don't know if this is the real title - was something I remember as "My Old Man's A Joke" the story of a young guy making fun of his coal mining father and his stupid little British life, then going to work in the coal mine after his dad dies. I related to the kid then, I AM the dad now. A heart wrenching piece of work.

ok, here's one-there's this song i remember on cfny back in the 80s which had the words 'metro-metropolitain life, ........metro-metropolitain life, youre on a street which never ends..'
ive tried every possible word combination but no luck searching. any ideas?

i use winmx and have found just about everything i like to listen to,from the song charts,BUT where do i get MY OLD MAN.The internet is of no use so far,maybe if nobby klegg did porn i'd be swamped with downloads by now.!!!!!my email is technlogicly impared so i must converse on this page .smokalotoepot

TO AUDIOFOOL it's feb 25th i'll be online every nite on winmx 9:30 to 2or 3am .If you could provide knobby clegg my old man WOW thanks. i've also tryed to download the extras cicular impression .However iv'e dicovered it's how people label songs. that perticular song was found by asking for EXTRAS 1 lone entrie at the bottom read as follows ;THE EXTRAS_CIRCULAR IMPRESSION that stupid under score changes the way the search engine looks .I'VE found this CFNY site the absolute best for finding music that i listened to .Anyone remember the Romo report on chum fm.I'm trying to find the intro for that. smokalotoepot/CFNY_NUT#001 - it doesn't look like it's happening.... I don't see either name as online in my Hotlist.... get yourself a web-based email ( ie yahoo, hotmail, etc) since you say you don't have an ISP email addy and email me at the address attached to my posting name (click on it to the right) so we can get something worked out.

I'd like to move this conversation away from this site, as I don't wanna get the site owner's chops busted over this issue.
