Even though this site emphasises the past, CFNY was always about "the music of the future". For the sake of this conversation, let's say the station continued unevolved in its philosophy, and YOU have been hired as the MD (Music Director) of The New Spirit Of Radio. What New Music would you add? The only restriction is keep it to 5 New adds per week (so people can actually check the songs out.) Have fun and find some new treasures!!!

awesome. I don't know any of those. Tried to use Limewire and none of those titles were on MP3 or an iTunes format. The others WIN Media (which I can use) just didn't work. Feel free to send me an MP3!

You can request and hear the above here:

As soon as you start listening here, you'll listen to nothing else I guarantee it.

Hey Amanda: I downloaded everything- loved it! four to five stars on every one. Looking forward to your adds next week! My itunes are sounding fresh again! My musical a.d.d. is strangely quiet. This is why I was called "cfny guy" or "Mr. Music" in high school, discovering music like this and telling everyone about it! I can't wait to add more Monday- hope you like mine too!

Dave,

I'm glad you liked my picks from oh-so-long-ago. Ever since I was a pre-teen I've wanted to be on the music department of a radio station...be able to influence peoples listening...I love looking for the next great band.

if anyone's looking for a music director... ;)

I'm going to think about a new list today... the Shins are great...glad to find someone with similar musical tastes.
