Hello everyone,
I am also looking for a mystery song. All I have is a line from the song. The singer is male, the music sounds somewhat like Depeche mode, but the singer doesn't.
"fate, close your eyes, patiently, before the tragedy passes"
or
"close your eyes, patiently, before the tragedy pass us by"
and then "Heaven might" or "Nevermind"
I will check back here.
Thanks for any help.

I hope someone knows the answer to this one, I've searched a bit for it, but haven't had any luck. I remember hearing a song on CFNY in early 1987 a few times and all I remember is a few words, which I believe were the chorus. It went something like "Going under, going under, town and country blues/ and if you ask for more, you'll get none at all". The funny thing is, I can't even recall if this song was any good, it's just one of those things I have to find out... Thanks very much if anyone can help.

I believe in the 1982 Great Ontario Talant Search they had a great song called "Trans American Express"--presumably a good spoof on TEE. The song was played a number of nights. Because the name of the band was spoken rather than written, I can't really identify them. It might be "Hair Ebden," "Hare Ebden," or something like that. Any info--including were I can get a recording? Greatly appreciate it.

Thnaks Dave, I needed a jumpstart to remember. I am allmost certain it was Colourbox though I havent got through the index yet. I didnt realize how extensive this site is , I am listening to Steve Forbert comercials and all and I'm in a lovely little time warp while typing this. I lived a block down from the little yellow house called 102.1 and drove a cab in Brampton. The only thing that made that bearable ( besides being paid in cash) was having the spirit to listen to all the time. Thanks agin
