Alan, does it really matter whether you are there or not?? Isn't everything programmed for you? If I hear that 'Killers' song one more time...I think I will SCREAM!!!
Message to Alan Cross
Frankly Alan, I think you are doing a great job. As much as I enjoyed CFNY in the 80s we must move on. The Killers, Franz Ferdinand and Seether are all bands that would be worthy of "The Spirit of Radio" anyway. Keep up the good work! Remember you can't please everyone.

Alan Quoted
2002:
(What is the worst thing that has happened to music or to a band that really changed things?)
"The herd mentality of the music industry. Once someone discovers something, everyone just piles on and beats it to death. We start off with a really vital band like Nirvana or Mud Honey or something like that and then a few sad steps later we have the Goo Goo Dolls. Good ideas in music, when the mainstream gets hold of it, are always beaten down to the lowest common denominator and that’s how we have the Goo Goo Dolls and Creed today."
Alan 2004:
“The problem with modern rock is that it’s been very difficult to find those core artists again. Back in the day, the core artists were REM, U2, Talking Heads, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, bands like that. A lot of these acts aren’t around anymore or have moved on personally into a headspace where they’re not interested in reliving the past. The newer bands that seem to have some longevity—and people may not like the answers—are acts like Blink-182, Nickelback and Linkin Park. Those are the new core artists. Even Creed was a core artist before they called it quits. Newer bands like Evanescence or The Strokes, they’re selling tons of albums but who knows?
Corporate sell-out? You decide.

Sammi, you must be two people, because one person couldn't be that stupid.

Nice comment, I love that under the veil of anonymity people are so brave. If you are going to make a comment like that sign your name to it.

OK, I'll call myself human clone Part Deux, because human clone is such a great name.

Why must I be two people? What does that mean? Nickelback is the worst Canadian band ever and the definition of pure corporate rock.
Message to Alan Cross
In the first quote Alan seems to be taking a shot at Creed and their Canadian equivalent Nickleback. In the second, he's defending them as core bands. Quite sad.

Who said I liked Nickelback? Always jumping to conclusions that you know nothing about Sammi and that's why I think your an idiot.
Sammi why don't you list 5 artists that the Edge should play that you deem worthy to be a core bands.
This should be interesting.
